The Short Film Group Screening Series, sponsored by Lone Star Studio, is a quarterly showcase of contemporary international short cinema; additionally, the screenings provide a forum for filmmakers to discuss their work with a live audience.

The screenings are non-competitive; all screening participants receive publicity in paid advertisements and through a featured article in The Short Skinny. We also aggressively pursue local newspapers to print a review of our program but we can’t always guarantee they’ll do it.

**All directors from submitted films will automatically be considered as directors for our Short Script Contest. **

Films must be no longer than 45 minutes.

Send a VHS viewing copy, NTSC only, no PAL. Screening formats include Beta SP, 16mm, and 35mm.

Include a completed application form and $15 submission fee. We accept AMEX, Visa, Mastercard, checks and money orders. Please make checks and money orders payable to Short Film Group.

The series revolves quarterly so there are no deadlines.

We accept and encourage international submissions.

DO NOT send Registered Mail. We simply don’t have the staff or the time to stand in line at the post office to pick your package up. Regular Mail, Air Mail, Fed Ex, UPS, Airborne Express… are all fine methods.

Sorry, due to the high volume of submissions, we cannot return your tapes.
